Abby says funny things :)

Abigail is always saying funny things that may or may not make sense and I rarely write it down. Today I decided to write down (and add) to this post if she says anything else that is funny!

1. This morning we were playing in the playroom and she was admiring her painted toenails. She then said, "When Weston turns into a girl, we will paint his nails!!"

2. About a minute later she said, "We went to the dr. and we found him (Weston)!!"

3. About 2 minutes later after she goes number 2 in the bathroom, "Daddy said don't smell other peoples poo poo!"

She is truly a goofball!

Plastic-Be-Gone!!

My sister formed a group called The Rainbow Warriors where we vow to take care of our Earth to make it green again. Part of that for me is getting rid of plastic things in my house. Now this is going to have to be a very slow, learning process. The first part starts in the kitchen. I want to replace all of my plastic Tupperware with glass, sippy cups to stainless steel water bottles, plastic tumblers to mason jars, and plastic kids dinnerware to bamboo or stainless steel. The major reason I want to do this is so my kids are eating and drinking out of safer items. Even though it says "BPA free" you never really know what else is in it! Stainless steel is pretty safe and will last a very long time. My first purchase came in yesterday and I am very excited! I got Weston a stainless steel bottle that turns into a sippy cup, then a water bottle! I also think he likes it!

Very Very Late 4th of July Post!

I am so sorry it has taken so long to post! I have been super busy traveling around! We of course went to the beach house for our annual 4th of July celebration! Weston was all over the place but did pretty good especially since I brought the baby jail! Abby also played with my brothers friends daughter Mia most of the time so I didn't have to watch her as much! My sister and I had fun tricking the kids all weekend and trying to get them to believe crazy ideas like that Megan "tee-tees" out of her boobies lol! :)

 My brothers friend brought a bouncy house and water park and the kids had a blast! Of course Abby doesn't like water in her face so she had some difficulty! :)

Standoffs

Lately Abby has been battling with me especially when it's time for her to get in her car seat. The picture here was after gymnastics because she didn't want to go home so we sat in the car until she got in her seat. Today was 10X worse! It all started as we were leaving the pool at the YMCA. She started having a fit because she wanted to go to the beach house (we are going tomorrow). I practically had to drag her to the car while holding Weston and two bags. I finally got her in the car but she was going nowhere near her seat. I tried to sit her in there and hold her down but it was NOT working and after a few spankings I went and sat in the front seat. I told her we were not leaving until she got in her seat. I waited a minute or so then tried to buckle her in again. Once more she was not having it so I took her out and spanked her. I then went back to the front and tried not to have a meltdown. I called Nate hoping he could talk her into getting in her seat but NOPE! I then told her I was going to count to 3 and if she wasn't in her seat I was taking the iPad away for the night. I got to 3 so that was taken way. Next was the leap pad, no luck and that was taken away. Finally tv, that was also taken away. I told her I was going to count to three then spank her AGAIN. FINALLY she got in her seat, cried for a bit then fell asleep.

In addition to her standoffs she's been having pee and poop accidents left and right! Today I was so angry I made her leave her poop in her panties for a good 10 minutes. Call me mean but I've had it!

She's also been very defiant when I ask or tell her to do something. She usually says no and tells me to do it. Today I asked her to help pick up these plastic bugs we have. At the moment, she was jumping on the couch and told me, "no you pick them up by yourself" and then almost instantly she fell off the couch and bumped her head. She wasn't hurt badly but I couldn't help but try not to laugh...little turd. Again call me a bad mom but geez give me a break kid!! I need some alone time pronto!

Pizzaroni

I showed Abby this picture of a pizza looking bed and since then she's been calling pepperoni pizza, pizzaroni :)

Goofy Abby

Sometimes, usually around bedtime, Abby gets this burst of energy and goofiness. Nathan and I were watching TV and Abby runs in, says nothing, but is only wearing a shirt with her pants and underwear around her ankles. I am trying not to laugh but give her the evil eye at the same time. After threatening to spank her, she pulls them up. Then she runs back in 10 minutes later with bottoms on but no shirt, turns around, says nothing, and shakes her butt. Now I am having to hide my face and laugh hysterically silently. I ask Nathan, "what has gotten into her?" His response is most likely correct, "she is definitely yours!"

I love that now she is able to express her self how she likes...I think when she is 18 and doesn't hate me, we will have a lot of fun!

Summertime!

Today was one of my last staff developments until the end of July and I am super excited to stay home with my kiddos! Weston's starting to pull up on everything and Abby is almost fully potty trained! I can't wait to sit around in my pajamas all day and drink coffee!
